With all the snow around and the promise of good skiing and boarding to come, the Southern Tasmanian Ski Association’s web site mtmawson.info is receiving a lot of traffic.

We visited Mt Mawson in september last year (2019), and just thankfully got to see some of the white stuff, before it was to disappear just a week later? Being residents of Far North Queensland, we do not see snow, maybe occasional frost on the tablelands, but that is as cold as it gets.
I watch your snow cam quite often, to see the snow falls, and the latest falls are impressive, if not a bit late in coming this year? I only wish my family and I could visit again, as I loved Tasmania (our first time to the little green island). Damn Covid19 to hell, I don’t know when we will ever be able to visit again?? Keep up the good work, and have fun in snow.
Hi Gary, glad the cams can bring you a little joy at least in these times. Yes the snow is a bit later this year, but that’s not too unusual, August is really when winter kicks in properly here. I hope you do make it down again sometime.
