Spring is almost here, so where can you go snow skiing and boarding an hour and a half from Hobart? – Mt Mawson of course! It has not been a huge season like last year, but there is still good ski-able snow on the Mawson run at the Mt Field National Park, and STSA volunteers from the Wellington Outdoor and Ski Club are heading up to the mountain on Friday night to ready the ski tows for operation from 10:00 am on Saturday 27th August. There has been a good sprinkling of fresh snow during the week to keep everything freshened up, and as the temperatures have remained cold the snow quality has continued to be good. Make the most of it while it is still there!
