The Southern Tasmanian Ski Association kicks off its Summer maintenance program with a pre-Christmas working bee this Sunday at Mt Mawson. Tow Convenor Ambrose Canning advises that the focus for this working bee will be on repairing the snow fence at the top of the Mawson run that was damaged in strong winds at the start of the season, and as a result caused a significant snow drift that buried the Mawson rope on a number of occasions. The fence will be rebuilt with less slats to reduce windage, and with improved anchoring.

The STSA Working Bees are a great way to meet other volunteers, and help to keep the Mt Mawson Ski Field in good operating condition. If you are able to help, please meet Ambrose at the Lake Dobson carpark gate at 10:00 am on Sunday.

Please note the dates that have been set for STSA working bees this Summer:

Sunday 20th November 2016
Sunday 29th January 2017
