Heavy accumulations on top of a freeze/thaw layer formed at the beginning of this snowfall cycle may lead to unstable conditions. Those heading outside of the ski area boundary are advised to use caution and to do a proper assessment of the snow pack before skiing/boarding the steeper slopes.

Steeper areas like the Mawson cornice, The Golden Stairs and slopes along the Rodway range beyond the Rodway tow will require particular caution. Play Safe!

I've been involved with Mt Mawson since 1990 as a volunteer and I'm a member of the Oldina Ski club. I'm into skiing, a bit of snow boarding, snow shoeing and I'm partial to taking the odd photo.
