Yeah Nah Maybe

It’s fantastic to see a decent fall of snow on the Mawson slopes this week, just when we thought winter was all done with – the rain last night, not so much. But hey, we do have a base now!

Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy organising ski patrol and tow staff. Everything is in place, and we’ll have some people on the mountain at the end of today to keep an eye on the conditions. However we do need more snow, and as usual, your safety is foremost in our minds. So our dedicated ski patrollers will assess the snowfall and slope safety before giving any go-ahead. It’ll be short notice, so watch this space and keep your (hopefully cold) fingers crossed.

I've been involved with Mt Mawson since 1990 as a volunteer and I'm a member of the Oldina Ski club. I'm into skiing, a bit of snow boarding, snow shoeing and I'm partial to taking the odd photo.

Well done Bishwa! Looks like some more snow on the way – before it turns back to rain midweek
