Wild weather for this weekend

After a period of settled weather the forecast is for fresh snow this weekend, with blizzard conditions on Sunday. It will be spectacular up at Lake Dobson with fresh snow on all the trees, but with 90 km/hr winds forecast for Sunday it wont be at all pleasant in exposed areas up on the mountain. Our STSA volunteers are on stand-by to get the 2015 ski season underway, but with a solid base of snow not yet established it looks like we will have to wait another week…….

In the meantime our intrepid snow cam expert Ian Stewart is hoping to get some work done on our two cameras before the stormy weather arrives, so hopefully we will be able to watch the snow buildup from the comfort of our lounge-rooms!
