STSA Treasurer Vacancy

With early snow falling at Mt Mawson this weekend, thoughts turn to the coming ski season. The Mt Mawson Ski Field is run entirely by volunteers from the Southern Tasmanian Ski Association (STSA), and there is a small committee which oversees the ski field operations and finances.

One of the key roles on the STSA Committee is the position of Treasurer, which is currently vacant following the retirement of long serving and dedicated Treasurer Antal Hanke. Antal stepped down at the last Annual General Meeting, but has continued to help out as we have not yet been able to recruit a new volunteer Treasurer. The task of Treasurer is not an onerous one, with about 6 meetings a year, and the preparation of budgets and financial statements for STSA’s modest operations. From a governance perspective, it is however a critical role, and one that STSA must have filled as soon as possible.

If you enjoy the mountains, can operate a computer, and read a spreadsheet then please consider joining the STSA Committee in the role of Treasurer. Antal is available to help the new Treasurer transition in, and you will find the STSA Committee a fun group of people to work with. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Rudy Kloser at stsa.committee@gmail.com

Immediate past president, Southern Tasmanian Ski Association

Peter is Immediate past president of the STSA, and a member of the Oldina Ski Club. He has been coming to Mt Field for many years, and is an intermediate skier who can get down most black runs, but without much style.
