A very successful working bee was held at Mt Mawson today. The STSA is building new snow fences to improve the holding of snow on the lower slopes of the Mawson Run, and although it was a misty, damp day that did not dampen the enthusiasm of our band of volunteers who worked all day to get frames up for the first 6 panels of snow fence. We have used an improved design based on information from the US, and a good production line was established to build a line of tidy new fence adjacent to the new groomed area. A big thanks to the band of volunteers who escaped the rain in Hobart to lend a hand:

Paul Vince, Fred Koolhof, Antal Hanke, Bishwa Oakes, Andrew Briggs, Stephen Webber, Peter Davis, Karen Davis, Katherine Davis, Matthew Davis.

The working bee will resume tomorrow at 10:00 am
