Fagus display on Tarn Shelf 30 April 2021

With a continuation of superb Autumn weather there was a big crowd of visitors to Mt Field National Park over the weekend to view the last of the fagus display for 2021. STSA volunteers also headed out to Rodway, but their focus was on improving the appearance of the Rodway tow hut.

Rodway Tow Hut in need of some attention

Volunteers Liz Koolhof, Sebastian Rainer and Matt Levis put in a superb job to tackle the painting job, with the weather beaten hardwood boards proving quite a challenge. After a long couple of days of sanding and painting the results were impressive – a big thanks to our volunteers for their efforts to keep the Rodway tow infrastructure in good order.

At the end of the day the volunteers could finally enjoy the stunning surroundings beyond to Rodway Tow -and thanks to Liz Koolhof for sending through the photos.
