2013 winter snow arrives

An active Southwesterly weather pattern has brought snow to low levels in the Mt Field National Park. The Snow plough worked hard on Saturday morning 6th July and the road was opened to 4wd traffic at 1:20 pm.

Coverage is deepening on the Mawson ski field, but will need to settle and form a good base before tows can run. With more snow forecast, hopefully that will be next weekend.
