The second Summer working bee for the Mt Mawson Ski Field will be held this Sunday, 23rd February 2025. Whilst the weather hasn’t been very summery (it snowed both days last weekend!) there are plenty of tasks to do to prepare the ski field for the upcoming winter season.

Craig Larsson has put together a comprehensive job list, with a range of maintenance and upgrade tasks planned, including:

  • Build and install snow fence panels to fill in gaps in Uni fence
  • Snow proof roller-door to STSA workshop
  • Store new replacement rope for Mawson (3 coils)
  • General cleanup/ vacuum
  • Check pulleys on Uni tow
  • Check diesel & gas

Participating in working bees is a great way to become part of the Mt Mawson Ski Field community, and enjoy a productive day in a beautiful alpine environment. Volunteers will meet at the Lake Dobson gate at 10:00 am on Sunday – and don’t forget your raincoat, beany and work gloves!
