Two mini working bees have been done over the past month. The first on the 23rd March provided an opportunity to deliver a load of snow fence timber and the crew of Rod, Steve and Julian spent the day repairing the Mawson fence.

Another crew headed to Rodways to both check and repair the rope. Thanks to Ambrose, Tim, Francis, Shona and Rudy for what turned out to be a long day! The rope was dropped, motor started, safety gate checked, and rope run to facilitate a splice.

On the 3rd April Craig and Rudy did an early, before the rain, trip to rehang the rope, fix a snag in the weight pulley and importantly move the lower hut pulley. Moving the lower hut pulley means the rope is now elevated and not an obstacle for walkers going to the tarn shelf. All in time for the Fagus turning! We plan to reattach the pulley for winter operations.
