We have had a good dump of snow over the past few days and the Mount Mawson web cam looks very promising for this weekend.

We are planning to open this weekend subject to our usual on-site snow conditions and safety checks. Our volunteer tow operators are from the Oldina Ski Club joined by the STSA volunteer ski patrollers. This will be our first day of operations this season, so we ask for your patience while we get the tows ready. A recent update from the mountain shows a large cornice at the top of the Mawson tow run that will need a little digging! If your able to help with this let the Tow Operators know!

Remember to check the Operating status of the tows on the web site and the Lake Dobson Road status. Come prepared for the conditions and wishing you all a fun and safe mountain visit this weekend.

Overwhelmed with envy, what a beautiful sight, we saw the last remnants of snow in September 2019, would’ve been nice to see it like this! Have to make another visit in the future? Cheers from North Queensland. 30+ degrees todays and humid
