Over the Easter break STSA volunteers put in a further three days of work to complete the repair of snow fences on the Mawson ski run. Peter Davis, Mark Underwood and Karen Davis demolished a damaged fence on the Saturday evening and then Peter, Karen, and Stephen and Elizabeth Webber built a new frame in cold rainy conditions on Easter Sunday. Finally the cladding of the fences with new slats was completed on Easter Monday. Over the break assistance was also provided by Lachlan Webber, Ann Ly, Katherine Davis, Matthew Davis and Isobel Webber. It has been a great effort by the STSA team to put in 11  days of work over the 2014 summer. All fences on the Mawson and Uni runs are now standing ready to capture the first snow fall of the season.

At the April STSA Meeting Julian Oakes reported that the rope for the Rodway tow really needs replacing for this winter season. It is proposed that a one day working bee be held to take the rope up prior to the arrival of snow. The suggested dates are 10 or 18 May – please let Julian know on julian@ecoseng.com.au  if you are available to help on one of these dates.
